You and your doctor can learn a great deal about your health by testing a sample of your blood. Blood tests can help provide basic information about your health, by determining what is “normal” for you by establishing a baseline that can be used for comparison with future test results. These results can detect a medical condition before you have any symptoms or may confirm that a medical condition already exists. Your doctor will be able to rule out diseases of his/her concern, identify the cause of your symptoms, or find out if your medicine is working.
