Childhood Immunizations
Disease prevention is the key to public health. Vaccines protect both the people who receive them and those with whom they are in contact. They are responsible for controlling many infectious diseases and saving millions of lives.
The Stone County Health Department provides immunizations for children before their 19th birthday. Those who are eligible include uninsured, children with MO HealthNet (Medicaid) and underinsured. Underinsured is defined as a child who has health insurance, but the plan:
- does not provide vaccine coverage
- does not cover certain vaccines; or
- does cover vaccines, but has a fixed dollar cap for vaccine
Appointments are available at either location. Please call for schedules and fees. Children under 18 should be accompanied by a parent or guardian and a current shot record should be provided.
At the present time we accept cash, check or debit/credit cards for our Administration Fees.
Please call for clinic hours or for additional information.
